The combat sports world is buzzing as Real American Freestyle (RAF) prepares to make a historic splash in the Middle East. On Saturday, November 14, the Etihad Arena on Yas Island will host RAF Abu Dhabi**, an event that promises to blend the high-intensity world of professional wrestling with the star power of Mixed Martial Arts. At **Business Promotion24**, we are excited to bring you the full breakdown of this star-studded card.
The Featured Clash: Umar Nurmagomedov vs. Urijah Faber
The spotlight shines brightly on a bantamweight showdown that pits youth and surging momentum against legendary experience. **Umar Nurmagomedov**, a standout name from the renowned Nurmagomedov family of Dagestan, will make his highly anticipated RAF debut. Known for his suffocating grappling and seven submission wins in professional MMA, Umar brings the elite wrestling pedigree of his heritage to the RAF mats.
Opposing him is the hall-of-famer **Urijah “The California Kid” Faber**. As the founder of Team Alpha Male and a pioneer of the lighter weight classes, Faber is no stranger to the RAF platform, this being his third appearance. This veteran vs. prospect dynamic is set to be a technical masterpiece for wrestling enthusiasts and MMA fans alike.
Chimaev vs. Covington: A Main Event for the Ages
While the Nurmagomedov-Faber bout has fans talking, the main event is nothing short of a global blockbuster. Combat sports superstar **Khamzat Chimaev** is set to face the outspoken and relentless **Colby Covington**. The two will battle for the **RAF Cruiserweight Crossover title**. With both athletes known for their world-class wrestling foundations and polarizing personalities, Etihad Arena is expected to reach a fever pitch when these two icons collide.
Championship Stakes: Snyder vs. Erdogan
The card also features a massive title defense. Reigning RAF Light Heavyweight Champion **Kyle Snyder**—the youngest American ever to win a senior world wrestling title—will defend his throne against **Shamil Erdogan**.
Snyder has been on a tear, defeating four fellow Olympic medalists in just the last six months. However, Erdogan presents a unique challenge. A Dagestan-born Turkish athlete with an unbeaten professional MMA record and a deep freestyle wrestling background, Erdogan’s RAF debut could result in a changing of the guard in the light heavyweight division.
A New Era for RAF and Abu Dhabi
This inaugural event marks the beginning of a significant five-year partnership between **Real American Freestyle**, the **Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi)**, and the **UAE Wrestling Federation**. Following successful international stops in Tbilisi and Moscow, RAF is cementing its position as a premier global professional wrestling platform.
As the sport continues to grow, **Business Promotion24** remains your go-to source for the latest updates on international sporting events and business expansions. Whether you are a fan of the technical brilliance of Kyle Snyder or the explosive grappling of the Nurmagomedov clan, November 14 is a date you cannot afford to miss.
